The Tooele Transcript, published every Friday by Beesley and Gabriel, began with the June 29, 1894, issue and continued until November 2, 1923, when it merged with The Tooele Bulletin to form The Transcript-Bulletin. In its first issue, the editors promised to be "breezily brilliant, winningly witty, curiously clean, satisfactorily sagacious, and liberally loquacious, non-partisan in politics, independent in expression."
